Variáveis e parâmetros, instanciamento de formas parametrizadas, subdivisão de entidades geométricas, repetição de formas com variações, geração de valores aleatórios e de sequências numéricas, condicionais e operadores lógicos.
Tarde _ Técnicas de fabricação. Preparação de um modelo sólido para impressão 3D. Estratégias de produção por corte a laser: planificando-o e fatiando-o.

Conferencista e formadora
Gabriela Celani _ Arquitecta (1989), Mestre (1997) pela FAU-USP, e Doutora em “Architecture: Design and Computation" pelo MIT (2002). Actua na área de “Computational Design”, que engloba a aplicação de tecnologias e teorias oriundas das áreas de computação, lógica, matemática e inteligência artificial na Arquitectura e Urbanismo. Desenvolve pesquisas nas áreas de prototipagem rápida, fabricação digital, digitalização 3D e automação do processo de projecto. É Professora de graduação e pós-graduação da Faculdade de Engenharia Civil, Arquitectura e Urbanismo da Universidade Estadual de Campinas, onde é também Coordenadora do Laboratório de Modelos e Maquetas e do Laboratório de Prototipagem rápida para Arquitectura e Construção (LAPAC).
Informação geral
Este conjunto de conferência+workshop vai de encontro às tendências actuais de uso de tecnologias digitais que têm vindo a revolucionar a arquitectura contemporânea e constitui um passo do objectivo do DAU em aprofundar a formação nas áreas de desenho paramétrico e fabricação digital de protótipos. Nesta área, o DAU integra actualmente um Mestrado em Arquitectura e Computação, para além das ofertas formativas no âmbito do Mestrado Integrado em Arquitectura e ainda da investigação. No Workshop será introduzido um novo software, o Rhinoceros, que constitui o novo paradigma do desenho digital para Arquitectura combinando as potencialidades dos tradicionais softwares de CAD CAM com a flexibilidade de modelagem de curvas e superfícies através da tecnologia NURBS.
